The PR & Communications Coordinator will support media relations and communications efforts for the OFCH, the Olympic Museum, and the Olympic Studies Centre. This role involves managing press relations, producing communication materials, coordinating digital content, and assisting in public relations activities that promote the IOC’s cultural and educational initiatives.
The coordinator will work closely with the PR & Communications Manager and other members of the Engagement Unit to ensure timely and effective communication across multiple platforms and audiences.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the press office and handle day-to-day media requests for the OFCH, Olympic Museum, and Olympic Studies Centre.
- Support the PR & Communications Manager in drafting, producing, and updating press materials (releases, kits, visuals, etc.).
- Prepare monthly and thematic media monitoring reports, consolidating inputs and supporting analysis.
- Draft and edit content such as press releases, website texts, newsletters, articles, and social media posts.
- Manage translations into multiple languages and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Update the press and news sections of the Olympic Museum website.
- Support the management of the Olympic Studies Centre and Olympic Museum’s social media accounts.
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of newsletters, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Assist with PR and promotional activities, as defined by management.
- Support internal communications initiatives in collaboration with the PR & Communications Manager and Senior Events & Promotion Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Higher education degree or equivalent qualification in communications, public relations, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in communications, preferably within an international or academic environment.
- Excellent written and spoken proficiency in French and English.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with corporate tools such as SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with project and knowledge management tools is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication and information-sharing abilities.
- Creative mindset with the ability to add value to information.
- Adaptability and efficiency in a dynamic environment.
