Deadline: 02/12/2024
Location: Washington D.C.
The National Press Foundation is accepting applications for the 2025 Paul Miller Washington Reporting Fellowship.
For more than 35 years, the Paul Miller Washington Reporting Fellowship has introduced rising D.C. reporters to the city they’re assigned to cover. In monthly sessions, fellows learn what it takes to cover the White House, Supreme Court, Congress, Pentagon, Justice Department and other key government institutions.
Journalists from any medium and news organisation are invited to apply for the 2025 fellowship. Over the course of the year, fellows participate in 10 days of intensive, forward-looking education in the capital.
Application requirements
- A statement of intention, explaining your interest in the program.
- At least two recent samples of your work.
- A letter of support from an editor or supervisor recommending you to the program and acknowledging that they will excuse you from deadline duties on all program days. (If you’re a freelancer, a letter from an editor who has worked with you and is interested in publishing your work.)
- A brief, narrative autobiography.
