The ‘What Works’ Unit (WWU) is a strategic learning and research component of IFPIM that evaluates impact, disseminates knowledge, and enhances economic resilience in media ecosystems. Since 2023, WWU has developed a comprehensive MEL framework, invested in research, and facilitated knowledge exchange among global partners and grantees.
IFPIM seeks a proactive and detail-oriented MEL Associate to support MEL frameworks and learning strategies, particularly across Eastern Europe. Reporting to the WWU Director, the Associate will coordinate data collection, facilitate knowledge sharing, manage MEL systems, and contribute to strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data collection and analysis across grants and regions
- Develop and implement MEL tools and systems
- Ensure data accuracy and manage reporting systems
- Provide technical MEL support to partners and staff
- Track organizational metrics and draft summaries and reports
- Collaborate with regional teams to produce case studies
- Support the production of donor and annual reports
- Organize workshops, webinars, and learning events
- Manage WWU calendar and communications
- Liaise with external research and media stakeholders
- Contribute to WWU’s strategic planning
- Analyze findings to inform MEL strategy and regional TOCs
- Advise regional teams on MEL implementation
Eligibility
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Background in MEL with strong project management
- Analytical skills in qualitative/quantitative research
- Experience working across cultures, ideally in Eastern Europe
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to IFPIM’s mission
- Familiarity with media and media development debates
