Junior Communications Consultant

Consult KM International is looking to hire a Junior Communications Consultant who will be supporting the Senior Communications Consultant(s) in providing high-quality communications services to their clients.

Responsibilities

Specifically, the Junior Communications Consultant is requested to provide the following services (not limited to):

• Support Senior Communications Consultant(s) in delivering high-quality communications services to external clients
• Support the assessment and analysis of existing communications strategies and plans, etc. through desk review and interviews (as needed)
• Support the development, revision and/or adaptation of communications strategies and plans, content plans, and similar
• Support media monitoring and social media management as needed
• Support the development of rollout of advocacy and awareness raising campaigns
• Support content development, including press releases, social media posts, other
• Other related tasks, as may be required

Qualifications

The consultant is expected to hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, International Development, or another related field.

The Consultant is also expected to meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in communications, or a similar role
• Understanding of and experience working in the international development, humanitarian and non-profit sectors
• Excellent writing skills
• English proficiency
• Independent worker, able to work with little supervision, self-starter
• Able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and manage high workload
• Flexibility, able to travel as needed
