Journalists and media professionals working in small newsrooms can apply to join the JournalismAl Academy.

Designed by the JournalismAI team at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and powered by the Google News Initiative, the JournalismAl Academy for Small Newsrooms is a free online program that helps small newsrooms leverage the power of artificial intelligence.

Forty journalists and media professionals from small newsrooms in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific are eligible for the eight-week program that begins in June. Twenty journalists and media professionals will be selected from EMEA and 20 from Asia-Pacific.

The program combines a series of masterclasses given by experts working at the intersection of journalism and artificial intelligence with opportunities for discussion among participants.

Journalists must be fluent in English.

The deadline is April 30.
