Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is looking for a service provider (freelance, part-time position) for its Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI), to develop the initiative with media outlets in Poland. The service provider must be in compliance with local government regulations and be able to issue invoices that comply with local legislation.
The Journalism Trust Initiative is an international standard that helps news outlets benchmark their transparency and their commitment to ethical journalistic practices. It provides a systemic approach to combat disinformation, and to foster a culture of transparency and responsibility in news publishing.
Key responsibilities
Disseminate JTI towards media and partners
- Collect data and contacts to launch outreach campaigns in the target countries
- Contact media outlets to present JTI
- Develop Journalism Trust Initiative network in Poland
- Identify speaking opportunities and events to promote the Journalism Trust Initiative
Support media outlets onboarding on JTI
- Support media outlets in the Journalism Trust Initiative process (signups, from assessment stage up to the audit phase)
- Pre-fill JTI assessments for a number of media outlets
- Supporting the media in fully understanding the standard and certification criteria
- Supporting the media in their communication efforts following certification
Coordinate with the headquarter team
- Coordinate activities with the JTI team
- Coordinate activities with the other representatives of the region
