Investigative Editor

The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation is seeking to recruit an investigative editor to manage a new investigative journalism platform that will publish and co-publish deeply-reported stories and verified information in the public interest

The investigative editor will work with reporters at various media organisations, as well as freelance journalists, to select and support investigations from pitch to publication. The editor will also develop investigative projects and collaborate with national and international media partners, while adhering to highest editorial standards and principles of transparency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A degree in journalism or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in investigative journalism nationally and/or internationally
• Proficiency in English and Maltese
• Good understanding of the Maltese context
• Good storytelling skills and the ability to create compelling narratives
• Management skills, a collaborative spirit and enterprising attitude
• A commitment to high journalistic ethics and standards
