Internews is seeking a candidate for the position of the Project Coordinator who will provide administrative and technical support to Internews’ projects in Yemen under the supervision of the London-based Project Director and in close collaboration with the MENA department based across several time zones. The Project Coordinator will be expected to perform a variety of administrative and programmatic tasks related to logistics, procurement, research and project progress. Ideal candidate is a flexible, highly motivated individual with at least two years of experience working on media projects.
Day-to-day tasks:
- Coordinate within project team and between external partners on project activities.
- Organize meetings and assist with logistics for events, including booking flights and hotel reservations, small procurements, setting agendas, etc.
- Assist in reviewing partners’ and external consultants’ deliverables.
- Collect project documentation and data for donor reporting.
- Prepare partners and suppliers contracts and sub-grant agreements.
- Translate of internal and partner documents such as contracts from Arabic to English and English to Arabic when needed.
- Complete any necessary administrative tasks when required, including communications and research.
- In all duties, demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to upholding Internews’ Core Values.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English
- Relevant degree in Media, International Relations, or a closely related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years relevant, hands-on media project experience
- Experience managing budgets and donor compliance
- Strong interest in media, development, and civil society
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with fluency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for proactively addressing problems
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, including remotely
- Ability to multi-task, manage time and workload
- Demonstrable knowledge of Yemen context
- Highly motivated, resourceful, flexible with a strong work ethic and desire to learn

This is a remote-based position. Preference will be given to candidates based in Tunisia; however, all remote candidates will be considered. The candidate must have work authorization in the current location that does not require sponsorship from Internews.
