IFCJ is looking for experienced journalists to apply for the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist contract position.
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is hiring a monitoring and evaluation specialist to gather and consolidate the impact of investigative projects and fellowships, and exchange fellowships.
The monitoring and evaluation specialist will also design evaluation tools like pre-and post-surveys to gather information on knowledge gained from trainings and workshops.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Gather and consolidate the impact of investigative projects and fellowships (up to an estimated 50 investigative projects per year) and exchange fellowships;
- Design evaluation tools like pre-and post-surveys to gather information on knowledge gained for the following trainings and workshops:
- A total of 5 conferences on investigative journalism (1 per year);
- A total of 1 online six-week training courses on data-driven journalism;
- A total of 5 three-day local workshops on digital, mobile security and developing investigative projects;
- A total of 3 data Boot camps focused on the development and design of data-driven projects that can receive seed funding;
- Measure the use and proliferation of ICFJ’s secure online platform (a platform used to better protect journalists against emergent threats) and dashboards (a platform with searchable resources, databases, and information that can serve to inform journalists’ investigations);
- Provide basic metrics on project data, at the request of ICFJ program staff;
- Prepare high-quality quarterly reports highlighting the compiled data, utilizing information provided by ICFJ HQ program staff, project partners, and participating journalists
