Role Responsibility

As Head of Programme, you will lead the design, development and implementation of a global portfolio that includes activity in at least three countries in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia as well as a global policy and learning programme. You will provide strategic leadership across this diverse portfolio, balancing competing priorities and advising individual project strands and stakeholders across a 10 partner consortium.

Reporting to the Regional Director, Africa, you will also work closely with the Head of Partnerships to optimise the strategic potential of this partnership programme. You’ll develop close working relationships with Country Directors and colleagues in our Research, Policy and Advisory teams to implement the programme and lead the day-to-day donor relationship with DFID as well as with all partners and external stakeholders.
