The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Head of Multimedia to lead the organization’s creative communication strategies and multimedia production efforts. Based at IOM Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, this fixed-term role (P-4) offers an initial one-year contract, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to IOM’s multimedia, graphic design, and branding teams.
- Oversee the development and approval of visual and audio-visual content for global campaigns, media outreach, and institutional branding.
- Review and refine multimedia content to ensure high-quality, innovative output that aligns with IOM’s communication goals.
- Produce video content featuring senior management for global events and web distribution.
- Collaborate with HQ departments to coordinate the development of promotional and communication materials.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity-building support to IOM field missions on multimedia content development.
- Ensure that all creative outputs are tailored for diverse global audiences and meet communication objectives.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, International Relations, or related field, with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate brand management, digital content creation, and multimedia production.
- Strong background in strategic communications, including engagement with donors and private sector stakeholders.
- Proficiency in multimedia tools such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills.
- Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably within the UN or international organizations.
- Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an advantage.
