Fundraising Officer (Europe-Based)

Bellingcat is seeking a Fundraising Officer to support global fundraising efforts. The role involves managing donation processes, maintaining donor databases (Salesforce), and ensuring a positive experience for supporters. Reporting to the Global Director of Fundraising, this position is integral to engaging donors and optimizing fundraising operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process donations from multiple channels (Donorbox, wire transfers, checks).
• Maintain donor records in Salesforce CRM and reconcile payments with the finance team.
• Generate data reports to assess fundraising trends and campaign performance.
• Serve as the first point of contact for individual donor inquiries via email and social media.
• Implement personalized donor thank-you and engagement processes.
• Support donor reporting and compliance requirements.
• Assist in fundraising campaigns and event coordination.
• Support administrative and high-priority tasks as needed.

Requirements

•  Experience in fundraising, marketing, or donor relations (preferably in nonprofits).
•  Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and donation processing systems.
•  Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
•  Excellent communication and project management abilities.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Interest in investigative journalism, media, and press freedom is desirable.
