Batangarh is looking for a Freelance Investigative Journalist to uncover important stories through ground reporting, research, credible sources and fact-checking.

Key Requirements

• Conduct investigative research on newsworthy and public-interest issues.
• Perform ground reporting and collect facts, documents and evidence.
• Build and maintain credible local sources and contacts.
• Conduct interviews and verify information from multiple sources.
• Investigate leads related to scams, corruption, irregularities and public issues.
• Prepare well-researched reports and story briefs for the editorial team.
• Maintain source confidentiality and follow responsible journalism practices.

Eligibility

• Experience in investigative/ground/news reporting preferred.
• Strong research, fact-checking and interviewing skills.
• Good Hindi communication and writing skills.
• Strong local knowledge and source network in MP, Rajasthan, UP or Delhi.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
