Fellowship Assistant & PA to Fellowship Director

Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (RISJ) is seeking a candidate for the position of Fellowship Assistant & PA to Fellowship Director. This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding team committed to connecting academic scholarship of the highest standards to major issues of relevance to journalists and editors from around the world. As Fellowship Assistant & PA to Fellowship Director, the candidate will provide administration in support of the established Journalist Fellowship Programme, which brings mid-career journalists to Oxford from all over the world to improve their knowledge and to study issues important to their professional development. The person will also support the establishment and running of a new initiative, the Oxford Climate Journalism Network. Fellowship Assistant will also manage the day-to-day organisation of the Fellowship Director’s diary, arrange meetings (both in-person and online), calls and conference access (both as speaker and attendee), organise their travel and help with forward planning.

Job description: 
You will be educated to A level and have excellent organisational skills, initiative and a willingness to accept responsibility and work independently. You will have experience of event management and organisation, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with people at all levels. You will also have experience of managing administrative processes and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure to fixed deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining exemplary attention to detail.
