Fathm is working with a leading global public health institution on a pioneering initiative to combat health misinformation in Africa. We are hiring a creative social editor on a freelance basis to work with our team to support production and publishing of high-impact visual content that captures key fact-based health messages. The position is for an immediate start, working remotely, with the ideal candidate based in a country covered by this project (Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Senegal, DRC). You would need to be available full-time Monday to Friday for an initial two-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Competitive freelance rate.

Required Experience
- Two to five years of social content editing & publishing expertise at major media house or marketing agency
- Excellent English writing and editing skills
- A proven track record of working on editing content for social platforms
- Ability to work flexibly within short deadlines in a changing environment with competing priorities
- Share a results-oriented work ethic
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of online dissemination of information, via social media and digital channels.
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese
- Content production experience with journalistic, fact checking and anti-misinformation initiatives
- Fluency in using Adobe Creative Suite, social publishing tools
- Experience of remote collaboration
