50th Sanlam Group Financial Journalist of the Year

Sanlam and Santam have announced the opening of entries for the 2024-2025 edition of the Sanlam Group Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the prestigious competition, which will be hosted in Johannesburg in October 2025.

Key Details

• The competition is open to journalists residing in Africa who are employed by an African news organization and publish or broadcast their work on the continent.
• It recognizes excellence in financial journalism across print, radio, television, and online platforms, focusing on Africa’s economic challenges and progress.
• The awards offer a total cash prize of almost R1 million.
• Entries must be submitted by 31 March 2025 and should have been published or broadcast between 1 January and 31 December 2024.
• All entries must be submitted via the entry form on the Sanlam Group’s Financial Journalism Awards website.
