Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD) is looking for a Digital Marketing Intern, who will work closely with GFMD’s Executive Director and our Campaigns and Communications Manager. We are looking for a motivated Digital Marketing Intern to assist us with setting up and managing, as well as implementing a freemium newsletter subscription model. This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for digital media and is looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and implement the most suitable subscription/donation and payment processing platforms for our needs.
- Help design and execute strategies for launching our freemium model.
- Work with our content and design team to integrate subscription/donation options seamlessly into our newsletter and website.
- Analyse user data and feedback to optimise the subscription/donation process and payment systems.
- Support digital marketing efforts to promote the subscription/donation campaign.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including managing subscriber lists and processing payments.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience with membership/crowdfunding platforms (e.g., Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Patreon, Substack) is a plus.
- Familiarity with subscription management and payment processing tools (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Memberful, Recurly).
- Understanding of digital marketing strategies, email marketing tools, and CRM tools.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Duration and Remuneration
This is a part-time internship position requiring 20 hours per week. The internship starts with a monthly compensation of 200 euros.
