Digital Communications and Outreach Assistant

The Digital Communications and Outreach Assistant will support the Communications Officer and ECPMF team in external communications, focusing on social media management, digital content creation, and community engagement. This role offers practical experience in an international NGO environment and a chance to contribute to press freedom advocacy across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and schedule posts for ECPMF’s social media channels.
• Support multimedia content production, including graphics, short videos, and visuals aligned with campaigns, advocacy work, and events.
• Maintain and update mailing lists and prepare newsletters.
• Engage with journalists, partners, and stakeholders online to grow ECPMF’s digital community.
• Prepare promotional materials for webinars, events, and campaigns.
• Support live coverage of events (live-tweeting, videos, stories, etc.).
• Assist with uploading and formatting content on ECPMF and MFRR websites.
• Track and analyse website and social media performance using analytics tools.

Eligibility Requirements

• Ongoing or completed studies in communications, journalism, media, international relations, or related fields.
• Experience with social media management and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, Hootsuite).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Understanding of digital storytelling and audience engagement.
• Organised, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in press freedom, media rights, and European civil society issues.
• Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, native social media insights).
• Basic video editing skills.
• Working knowledge of German.
• Experience with WordPress or similar CMS.
