The Forum on Information and Democracy is the implementing body of the International Partnership for Information and Democracy, signed by 55 countries. Founded in 2019 by 11 NGOs and research centers, its mission is to safeguard democracy by addressing challenges in the global information and communication space.

To support its continued growth and impact, the Forum on Information and Democracy is seeking a Development & Resource Officer, based in Paris, France. This is a pivotal role responsible for fundraising, financial oversight, and strengthening the organisation’s strategic development to promote democratic standards in the digital age.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate fundraising activities and donor relations in collaboration with the Executive Director
  • Draft funding proposals in coordination with team members, follow up on submissions, and manage donor prospect pipelines
  • Oversee compliance with grant agreements, including timely submission of narrative and financial reports
  • Prepare organisational forecast budgets and contribute to financial planning for funding proposals
  • Ensure effective financial management in collaboration with the accounting firm and Executive Director
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (Bac +4/5) in international project management, administration, business development, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising for NGOs or public/private institutions
  • Strong budget management skills, including accounting entries and invoice tracking
  • Familiarity with non-profit regulations under French law (Association loi 1901) is highly desirable
  • Experience in project development involving multiple stakeholders
  • Interest in digital governance, information ecosystems, and democratic issues
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organisational skills
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a proactive mindset
  • Experience working in international or multicultural settings
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
  • Knowledge of an additional language—particularly Spanish—is a strong asset
