Development Manager in Projects

CORRECTIV is seeking to hire a Development Manager in projects.

Responsibilities

As Development manager, your responsibilities would include:

• Take responsibility for communication and relationship management with existing donors, as well as network building with other relevant partners.
• Research suitable funding instruments and application opportunities for our projects.
• Prepare applications including budget creation, review contracts, and advise the implementing project teams.
• Contribute to the strategic development and sustainable support of projects at CORRECTIV in close cooperation with the responsible team leadership.

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional experience in fundraising or grant management, ideally with an organisation relevant to the field of media/journalism or in the foundation sector.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the funding landscape in Germany or Europe, with relevant networks being a plus.
• Proficient in administrative tasks such as budget creation and contract review.
• Enjoyment of teamwork and working with a young, dynamic team.
• Analytical thinking, reliability, a high degree of initiative, and excellent self-organization.
• High communication skills and empathy for different target groups.
• Native-level German proficiency and advanced English skills, as well as enjoyment in writing.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and Europe.
• Strong identification with the values and goals of CORRECTIV.
