Syli is looking to hire a Community Manager who will take responsibility for creating, managing, and developing their cXc global online community.

As Community Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with climate journalists and newsrooms to ignite global change by driving cXc partner engagement and participation in cXc programmes.

Responsibilities
  • Community management and engagement across multiple social media platforms.
  • Moderate and respond to comments, messages, mentions, and other interactions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster trusted relationships with climate focused community members.
  • Handle service inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Create communications content such as press releases, articles, reports, social media posts, videos, and multimedia materials to drive programme engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with the editorial and communications team to develop and execute social media content plans and editorial calendars.
  • Ensure consistent tone, style, and brand messaging.
  • Plan, schedule, and post content.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor social media strategies to achieve our goals, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support editorial and impact teams in using social media for survey and assessment deployment.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance.
  • Foster community membership
  • Be a brand advocate
Qualifications
  • Ability to develop and apply a strategic approach to social media.
  • Capable user of graphic design and video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Deep insight into social media platforms, audiences, and trends.
  • Understanding of SEO and content marketing principles for organisations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Passionate about working in a social media and community building role with a mission to improve climate reporting and sustainability.
