Communications Officer (Audio Visual)

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is seeking a Communications Officer (Audio Visual) to enhance visibility and storytelling through high-quality video content. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the officer will produce compelling visual materials to highlight humanitarian efforts across Africa.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement content strategies to showcase IFRC and National Societies’ work.
• Capture and edit impactful human stories and emergency response footage.
• Train and support National Societies in content creation and communication.
• Manage media relations and proactively pitch audio-visual content.
• Deploy to crisis-affected regions for emergency communications support.

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Film, or related field.
•  3–5 years in content production, media, or communications.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, and professional camera operation.
• Fluent English required; French is a plus.
• Ability to travel frequently, including to remote locations.
