The International Labour Organization (ILO) is offering an Internship on Communications within its Labour Administration and Working Conditions (LAWC) cluster in Dhaka. The selected intern will support communications activities that enhance the visibility of ILO projects, develop multimedia content, and assist in event coordination and media engagement. This six-month internship offers hands-on experience in communications for development and international cooperation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in producing audiovisual content for social media, including short videos, interviews, and photo stories.
  • Support the design of communications materials such as infographics, banners, and brochures using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Provide logistical and communication support for events, including workshops, conferences, and dialogues.
  • Draft event Terms of Reference and develop promotional materials.
  • Conduct media monitoring and report on engagement across social and traditional media platforms.
  • Contribute to the production of success stories, awareness materials, and visual content for donor visibility.
  • Maintain the communications repository on ILO SharePoint.
  • Support knowledge management and documentation processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Must be enrolled in the final year of a graduate program or have completed one within the past year.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Basic video editing and content production skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable to a multicultural environment.
