The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is seeking a Communications Intern to support the work of the Center for Thought Leadership (CTL). Based in Seoul, the intern will play a vital role in enhancing the visibility and outreach of CTL’s work, particularly around key events such as Global Green Growth Week (GGGWeek2025) and COP30. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about sustainability, communications, and international development who want to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a communications plan for the CTL unit.
- Draft and edit content for CTL’s communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and website.
- Assist in preparing communication materials such as case studies, press releases, speaker bios, and event announcements.
- Develop visual content like infographics, flyers, and multimedia to present complex findings in engaging formats.
- Manage and schedule posts across GGGI’s social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Monitor analytics and prepare brief performance summaries of digital campaigns.
- Conduct research on communication tools, best practices, and formats for effective outreach.
- Support internal communications and maintain an organized repository of templates, visuals, and guidance notes.
- Provide administrative support for communication-related activities, including events and webinars.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled in or recently graduated (MA or PhD) from a program in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or related fields.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with social media tools and digital communication platforms.
- Experience in graphic design and multimedia tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex information into accessible and engaging content.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multicultural environment and across time zones.
- Passion for climate action and sustainable development.
- Independent, well-organized, and proactive in communication tasks.
