The ICRC Communication Department is seeking a Communication Officer to support its humanitarian mission in Kharkiv. The role of the communication officer involves designing and implementing communication strategies, fostering stakeholder engagement, and promoting public awareness of ICRC’s activities.
Responsibilities
- The communication officer manage communication tasks related to ICRC’s humanitarian activities in Kharkiv.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies aligned with operational priorities.
- Create content (text, images, audio-visual) to highlight the humanitarian situation and ICRC’s response.
- Organize and coordinate communication activities, including operational sessions, community engagement, and interactions with civil society organizations.
- Assess communication needs and develop tools such as presentations, FAQs, brochures, and surveys.
Required Qualifications
- Ukrainian citizen or permanent residence permit.
- University degree in communications, political science, international relations, journalism, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years in a communication-related role, preferably with the ICRC or a humanitarian organization.
- Professional fluency in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with digital communication tools.
- Understanding of the political, social, and media landscape in Ukraine.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.
