The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Multimedia Production Officer to support the global communications work of IOM’s Department of Media and Communications (MCD). Based in Geneva, Switzerland, this P-3 fixed-term position is initially offered for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee workflows and outputs for IOM’s audio-visual content, including video, photography, podcasts, animations, and studio recordings.
  • Manage IOM’s multimedia studio in Geneva and provide technical oversight for HQ and field-generated audio-visual products.
  • Capture and edit multimedia content for use in institutional communication and global campaigns, including coverage of live events.
  • Provide training to staff across Regional and Country Offices on video, photo, and audio production, editing, and studio setup.
  • Develop scripts, storyboards, and editorial concepts for multimedia content to be published on IOM’s website and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with MCD teams and departments to ensure high-quality and consistent content aligned with global communication priorities.
  • Draft and maintain user-friendly guidelines and protocols for audiovisual content production, informed consent, copyright, and data protection.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, Photography, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in multimedia production across studio, event, and field environments.
  • Strong background in editing, sound design, motion graphics, and animation.
  • Experience in training and capacity-building in multimedia content creation.
  • Familiarity with IOM’s mandate and previous experience in UN or international settings is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Da Vinci Resolve, and Capture One.
  • Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.
