ARTICLE 19 UNVEILS INFOGRAPHIC CONCERNING RIGHT TO INFORMATION LAWS

Of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) launched by the United Nations, Goal 16, Target 10 calls on all states to adopt legislation or policies guaranteeing the right to information, which is critical to both sustainable development in general as well as achieving other SDGs. ARTICLE 19 has been monitoring progress on SDG 16.10 since the adoption of the goals in 2015. As of July 2018, at least 123 countries comprising 90% of the world’s population have a right to information law or policy. For more information, see their infographic.
