Author: Olga Komarova | 7. July 2019

GFMD member Abraji hosted its 14th International Congress of Investigative Journalism in São Paulo, Brazil, from June 27th to 29th. Held annually since 2005,  the Congress is the largest gathering of journalists in the country and this year’s event attracted 1200 attendees – the second largest in its history.

This year, 187 speakers and 55 moderators hosted 91 panels and workshops which explored the current state of journalism in Brazil and around the world. Additionally, the event featured a live interview with military retiree General Santos Cruz, a former minister of the Presidency Secretariat of Government, as well as documentary screenings, award presentations, the launching of major journalism projects, and many other lectures and panels with celebrated journalists and media professionals.
