The Civil Society Fund is announcing a call for proposals for civil society organisations in Poland to counter disinformation, support activities that strengthen democratic values and the rule of law, and protect human rights. The fund supports Polish civil society organisations working to counter disinformation, strengthen resilience to it, and help citizens navigate the information environment, as part of a wider effort to reinforce democratic values, the rule of law, and human rights. Projects must map to one of two outcome/output combinations set by the fund, and grants can also cover bilateral cooperation with Donor State partners and organisational capacity-building.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be entities registered in Poland, of the following types: associations (including ordinary associations), foundations, unions of associations, social cooperatives, rural housewives’ circles, or legal entities of churches registered in the National Court Register (KRS)
  • To apply for the base project implementation grant (EUR 25,001–80,000), the organisation must have been registered for at least 24 months at the time of application

Requirements

  • Each project must fall under either Outcome 1 / Output 1.3 (democratic values and rule of law strengthened; information integrity and media literacy increased) or Outcome 3 / Output 3.1 (CSOs promoting democracy, rule of law and human rights strengthened; organisational development supported)
  • Project duration must run from 12 to 24 months
  • Applications may be submitted in partnership with eligible entities; partnerships with organisations from the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) are encouraged
