EJN, with Thai Journalist Club and Data Hatch, is offering up to ten story grants to Thai journalists to support in-depth reporting on how Thai businesses are responding to climate policy, carbon markets, and international sustainability requirements.
Eligibility
- Applicants must come from Thailand
- This opportunity is open to all eligible journalists, though priority is given to participants of EJN’s Thailand Business and Climate Net Zero workshop held in June 2026
- Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, or radio) and other professional content producers with demonstrated reporting experience
- Open to both early-career and experienced journalists, including freelancers and staff from international, national, local, and community-based media organisations
- Applications from teams of journalists are welcome, with one designated lead applicant who serves as the primary point of contact and grant administrator
Requirements
- A detailed budget with justification, using EJN’s Excel template, with a ceiling of EUR 1,500
- A signed letter of support from an editor, explicitly stating the media outlet will publish the resulting reports by 31 October 2026
- Two samples of stories or links to relevant published work
- A proposal describing the story’s focus, sources, and reporting plan, submitted through EJN’s online application system
