The Samir Kassir Foundation (SKF) has opened the call for applications to offer support initiatves to journalists at risk or under pressure in the wake of war that began in Lebanon on March 2, 2026. The Foundation, along with its partners, has launched various initiatives to support journalists.
What the support initiatives offer
The SKF is offering support to three kinds of media professional/teams:
- All Journalists: (A) Lending Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Through SKF’s “Journalist Safety Program”. To apply for this kind of assistance, please fill out this form. (B) Assistance in relocation, psychosocial support, medical, and legal assistance through SKF’s “Emergency Journalist Assistance Fund”. For this, please fill out this form. (C) Group therapy, which will be launched soon. To express your interest in joining, please send an email to celhayek@samirkassirfoundation.org.
- Freelance Journalists: Lending high-quality production equipment and software applications through SKF’s “IndependentMedia Resource Hub”. To apply for this, please fill out this form.
- SKF’s partner independent media outlets: (A) Lending high-quality production equipment and software applications. Fill out this form.(B) Psychosocial support- SKF offers one weekly team counseling session and two individual therapy sessions for your staff. Fill out this form. (C) Safety guidance for journalists with one of SKF’s safety advisors. Please fill out this form.
