The Sweden – Lithuania Cooperation Fund is offering Media Grants to support journalists, editorial teams, and media organizations in producing articles and media content that highlight new perspectives and stories connected to Sweden and Lithuania.
The amount is calculated using a formula, which consists of the number of people travelling, the number of days and the starting point and destination. A grant covers travelling for a maximum of five days.

- The main purpose of the media grants is to vitalize, broaden, and renew the interest in Sweden and Lithuania in the respective country by encouraging fresh media coverage and storytelling that presents new sides of the two nations.
- The grant will support a variety of media works that may be published or broadcast through newspapers, magazines, radio, television, podcasts, web-TV platforms, or larger blogs.
- Through this initiative, the grant aims to encourage high-quality media content that brings forward new narratives. Additionally, perspectives, and discussions that focus on Sweden and Lithuania, strengthening awareness and engagement between audiences in both countries.
Eligibility
- Both employed journalists and freelance media professionals are eligible to submit applications.
- Individuals or organizations already receiving a project grant and wishin to support their project further may also apply.
- Applicants should provide samples of previously published work to demonstrate their experience and credibility in media production.
- In addition, they must present a clear plan describing how and where the proposed article or media work will be published.
