The Centre for Journalism, Innovation and Development (CJID) is inviting applications from journalists for a three-day online workshop as part of the Tech Justice and Digital Governance Project.
Are you a journalist interested in investigative reporting on online harm and advancing accountability for digital platforms? Attend this capacity-building workshop on platform accountability, supported by the citizen engagement organisation Luminate.
Eligibility
- Be a practising journalist
- Demonstrate a clear interest in investigative reporting on online harm and in advancing accountability for digital platforms
- Be available to virtually participate fully in a 3-day training
- Be willing to produce at least 3 major investigative reports based on lessons from the training
- Female journalists and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply
Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- One compelling story proposal that clearly demonstrates the potential impact of reporting on online harm.
- A minimum of two published articles that showcase strong reporting experience and journalistic skill on the subject matter or related issues.
