The Internet Society Foundation is seeking a skilled and technically adept Digital Operations Manager to manage and execute digital marketing and communications initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience using marketing technology platforms and a solid track record of managing multi-channel digital campaigns.
You will collaborate closely with a diverse, globally distributed team of communications experts, helping shape digital strategy while owning the execution of email marketing, digital advertising, and SEO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Email & CRM
- Manage and execute email marketing campaigns in HubSpot, including segmentation, automation workflows, A/B testing, and performance reporting.
- Maintain CRM hygiene, manage lists, implement lead scoring, and support nurturing workflows.
- Optimise deliverability and engagement using data-driven insights.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to track and manage an email calendar.
Digital Advertising
- Plan, build, and optimise paid campaigns across social (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and search platforms (Google Ads, Bing).
- Partner with creative and content teammates to develop compelling ads tailored to target audiences.
- Manage relationships with potential external vendors for large campaigns and Google Ad Grants.
Website & SEO
- Conduct keyword research, optimise on-page SEO, and identify opportunities to improve organic search performance.
- Support technical SEO improvements, including metadata, site structure, and page performance.
- Work closely with the Senior Web Manager to support updating website pages in WordPress as needed.
- Create optimised landing pages for campaigns in HubSpot or WordPress.
Analytics & Reporting
- Use HubSpot, Google Analytics, and platform dashboards to analyse performance and provide insights.
- Create regular reporting for leadership, highlighting trends, KPIs, and recommendations.
- Use data to inform ongoing improvements to digital strategy.

Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in HubSpot or a comparable tool, including marketing automation and analytics.
- Proven experience creating, sending, and optimising email marketing campaigns.
- Hands-on experience executing and refining paid social and search advertising campaigns.
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress and digital content management.
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices (on-page and technical).
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Strong project management and collaboration skills.
- Experience working on a globally distributed or multicultural team is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively within a diverse team of communications experts.
- Experience supporting or executing digital fundraising and/or advocacy campaigns is a strong plus.
