- Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be a media outlet operating in Ukraine (print, online, radio or television). Both established media organisations and newly-founded / smaller outlets (startups) are eligible. Priority is given to regional, hyperlocal or frontline media outlets — especially those working in difficult conditions, including conflict zones or areas affected by war.

Support Purpose / Objectives
- Ensure continuity and stability of journalistic work under war-related adversity (power outages, insecurity, disrupted infrastructure).
- Enable frontline and hyperlocal media to continue reporting — including conflict / war coverage, local news, community-focused journalism, mobile journalism (MOJO), video reports, interactive media, etc.
- Strengthen the resilience and sustainability of independent media outlets in Ukraine — helping them survive and function despite dangerous conditions.
Types of Supported Activities
- Technical equipment: e.g. generators, power-banks/batteries, communication equipment (routers, hotspots, satellite comms, Starlink etc.), computers,
- cameras, mobile-journalism gear — to allow continuous operation despite power cuts or insecure infrastructure.
- Support aimed at frontline media, hyperlocal outlets, and regional publications, especially those at risk or working under hazardous conditions.
Financial support: For media workers applying individually: approx. €1,600 per journalist (or equivalent in local currency) for needed equipment.
For entire media outlets: support up to €10,000 per outlet (depending on size/needs).
