Global Survey on the Impact of Ending U.S

Researchers Daniel Sabet (Johns Hopkins University) and Susan Abbott (Cross-Pollinate Consulting) are conducting an independent international study examining the consequences of the U.S. Government’s funding cuts for independent media.

The study aims to understand how these changes are affecting media outlets, media support organizations, journalists, and the broader information ecosystem worldwide. Over 70 interviews have already been conducted, and the team is now gathering broader sector input through a global survey.

Participation from media actors across regions is essential to ensure a comprehensive and balanced understanding of the impact.
