Al Jazeera Media Institute Fellowship Programme

Al Jazeera Media Institute (AJMI) is inviting applications for its Fellowship Programme, designed to strengthen journalism in the Global South and promote innovation and research across the media landscape. The programme offers journalists and researchers an opportunity to engage with Al Jazeera Media Network (AJMN), gaining practical experience and insights into world-class journalistic practices.

Through this fellowship, AJMI aims to contribute to the development of high-quality journalism, encourage adaptation to modern technologies, and enrich journalistic content across the Global South.

Key Objectives

• Contribute to the development of high-quality journalism in the Global South.
• Encourage innovation and original research in journalism and media.
• Enrich journalistic content and foster diverse perspectives.
• Provide fellows with the opportunity to experience AJMN’s newsroom culture and journalistic standards.

Fellows will:

• Join a team within AJMN to experience its working environment firsthand.
• Meet with editors, journalists, and relevant staff aligned with their research proposal.
• Duration: 3 months
