Call for Support for Journalists and Media Professionals

• Eligibility Criteria:
  Open to journalists and media professionals working in Kosovo across all media formats. Be affiliated with or publish in licensed media outlets in Kosovo or members of the Press Council of Kosovo (KMSHK). Submit at least one proposed media product, though multiple pieces across formats are encouraged. Demonstrate experience or interest in fact-checking, investigative journalism, and countering disinformation. Meet inclusion criteria: at least five projects led by women journalists and five by journalists from non-majority communities will be supported.

• Target Region: Kosovo.
• Application Language: Albanian or Serbian.

Objectives

• Strengthen investigative and fact-checking journalism in Kosovo.
• Support in-depth reporting on the impact of foreign disinformation, gender-based disinformation, and foreign influence on public life and security.
• Enhance media transparency and accountability in countering manipulative narratives.
• Build capacity among journalists to recognize and report disinformation threats effectively.
• Promote inclusivity and representation in media through gender balance and community diversity.
