Call for Papers: Digital Epistemologies

This exploratory workshop will reflect on the concept of digital epistemology as proposed by Jonas Ingvarsson in Towards a Digital Epistemology: Aesthetics and Modes of Thought in Early Modernity and the Present Age (2021). The event explores how digital and synthetic media reshape knowledge, interpretation, and communication in contemporary society.

  • Synthetic synchronicity and the end of linear search
  • Posthuman communicative networks
  • Digital humans: avatars, clones, partners, and digital resurrection
  • Cultural, social, and political consequences of generative and synthetic media

  • Originality and co-creation in digital reproduction
  • Personal reflections on the life and work of Jonas Ingvarsson
