The Center for User Rights of the Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte e.V. (GFF) is hosting its second workshop and exchange on data access for researchers under Article 40 of the DSA. The session will provide researchers—particularly those outside the EU—with a foundational understanding of Article 40 and practical insights into making use of these provisions in future research.

Objectives
  • Introduce the rights granted to researchers under Article 40 of the DSA.
  • Explore how researchers can access data from very large online platforms and search engines.
  • Provide guidance tailored to researchers based outside the EU.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration on systemic risks and platform effects research.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Open to researchers, academics, and professionals interested in digital rights, data access, and platform accountability.
  • Suitable for both EU and non-EU participants.
  • Registration required (free of charge).
