The European Media Hubs call, offering €7.4 million to support pluralistic, independent reporting on EU affairs. Open to consortia of 5+ organisations across EU and candidate countries.
Objectives
- Enhance public access to pluralistic, high-quality news on EU affairs
- Promote independent reporting on EU decision-making that reaches diverse audience segments
- Encourage cross-border journalistic collaboration and coverage beyond national perspectives
- Foster mutual understanding and democratic engagement among Europeans
Eligibility Criteria
- Consortia of at least 5 organisations from 5 different countries
- (EU Member States, candidate, or potential candidate countries)
- Organisations must demonstrate capacity for joint curation, production, and dissemination of news content
- Projects must aim to reach specific audience segments underserved by current EU affairs reporting
- Only organisations operating in the news media sector are eligible
- Projects should promote editorial independence and journalistic standards
Financial Support
Total budget: €7.4 million
Co-financing rate: Up to 95%
Expected number of projects funded: 2 to 4
Project duration: Approximately 24 months
