Critical Voices Fellowship 2025

Exile Hub, in partnership with Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT), is thrilled to reopen applications for this transformative fellowship program. The initiative is tailored for exiled Myanmar media workers who continue to produce courageous, independent, and critical journalism.

Eligibility

• Journalists (news reporters, investigative journalists, editors)
• Photojournalists
• Filmmakers
• Content creators / bloggers
• Producers
• Illustrators and animators
• Fact-checkers

Eligible Themes

• News and Current Affairs
• Politics, Crime, Conflict, and War
• Business and Economics
• Environment and Climate
• Social Issues (e.g., human rights, gender equality, GBV, ethnic concerns)
• Culture, Technology, and Science
• Opinion and Editorial Writing

 Application Requirements

• Demonstrate financial need (e.g., loss of income, urgent medical needs)
• Show a strong commitment to independent and critical journalism
• Applicants under active threat will be given priority
