GFMD invites members, partners, and friends to an interactive, in-person workshop hosted by the University of Westminster’s CAMRI (Communication and Media Research Institute). Taking place on 25 July 2025, this full-day event will be led by Dr. Susan Abbott and Professor Winston Mano and will provide space for critical reflection and collaborative planning on the future of media development.
Responsibilities
- Engage in discussions exploring the evolution and impact of media development.
- Participate in breakout sessions on successes, failures, and lessons learned.
- Contribute to a roundtable debate on urgent priorities and future directions.
- Help shape practical research agendas and advocacy pathways.
- Network informally with fellow participants over coffee breaks and post-event drinks.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to GFMD members, partners, and invited guests.
Participants should have experience or interest in media development, journalism, policy, or related fields.
Capacity is limited to 25 participants to ensure an engaging and participatory format.
