Call for Abstracts: MediAsia2025

The 16th Asian Conference on Media, Communication & Film (MediAsia2025) will take place from Tuesday, November 4 to Saturday, November 8, 2025, and is now accepting abstract submissions from researchers, academics, and practitioners in the fields of media, communication, and film.

The conference offers an international, interdisciplinary platform to share research and insights related to IAFOR’s central themes: Technology and Artificial Intelligence; Humanity and Human Intelligence; Global Citizenship and Education for Peace; and Leadership.

Submissions must pass a double-blind peer review process, and accepted abstracts will be eligible for presentation upon payment of the registration fee. Early submissions are encouraged to benefit from discounted registration rates.

Objectives

• Promote interdisciplinary research in media, communication, and film studies
• Foster exchange of ideas on global contemporary issues through theoretical and practical lenses
• Provide a platform for dialogue on IAFOR’s 2025–2029 themes
• Encourage publication and dissemination through open-access conference proceedings and journals

Eligibility

• Open to scholars, researchers, and professionals worldwide
• Submissions accepted from a wide range of disciplines, including journalism, film, education, policy, communication technologies, and more
• Abstracts must be no longer than 250 words and submitted through the IAFOR online portal
• Authors may choose from various presentation formats: Oral, Poster, Panel, Workshop, Virtual, and more

Key Deadlines

• Early Bird Abstract Submission Deadline: May 30, 2025
• Final Abstract Submission Deadline: August 1, 2025
• Abstract Review Results: Within four weeks of submission
• Full Conference Registration Due: September 12, 2025
• Full Paper Submission (for Proceedings): December 5, 2025
