DIG Awards 2025

The 11th edition of the DIG Awards is officially open! The prestigious international awards celebrate excellence in investigative journalism across documentaries and podcasts. Journalists and filmmakers worldwide are invited to submit their work from March 1 to June 1, 2025.

Founded in 2015, the DIG Awards have become a major reference in international journalism, honoring bold investigations and powerful reportage on critical global issues, from conflicts and climate emergencies to inequalities and corruption. The winners will be announced during the DIG Festival in Modena, Italy, from September 24-28, 2025.

Competition Categories

The DIG Awards feature multiple categories to recognize outstanding investigative work:

Video Categories:

• Investigative Long
• Investigative Medium
• Reportage Long
• Reportage Medium
• Short

Audio & Podcast Categories:
Best Investigative Podcast/Audio

DIG Pitch: Dedicated to documentaries in development, offering up to €15,000 in funding for the winning project.
All submissions will be reviewed by an international jury of renowned journalists and industry experts.
