Visual and Media Arts Projects Program

• Eligibility Criteria: The Visual and Media Arts Projects Program is open to non-profit Toronto-based organizations, collectives, curators, or programmers in visual and media arts. Collectives must have at least two artists who are Toronto residents. Individual curators or programmers must reside in Toronto. Projects must be located in Toronto or produced in Toronto and shared online. Applicants must be professional artists recognized in their field.

Objectives:

• The Visual and Media Arts Projects Program Support exhibitions, screenings, lectures, and residencies that develop Toronto’s visual and media arts sector.
• Encourage audience engagement through focused outreach and development plans.
• Ensure fair compensation for artists by requiring the payment of artist fees.
• Adapt to digital platforms where necessary due to public health or accessibility concerns.

Project Themes:

• Exhibitions with curatorial or critical context.
• Screening series and film festivals featuring Toronto artists.
• Lecture series contributing to contemporary media and visual arts.
• Residency and workshop programs that develop artistic practice.

Financial Support: Maximum grant: $15,000.
