The National Press Foundation calls for applications for its 2025 annual journalism awards.

The National Press Foundation recognises and encourages excellence in journalism through its awards and fellowships.

Award Categories

The 2025 Annual Journalism Awards include:

  • The Wounded Warrior Project® Award for Excellence in Coverage of Veterans; $5,000 (x2)
  • The Benjamin C. Bradlee Editor of the Year Award; $5,000
  • The Everett McKinley Dirksen Award for Distinguished Reporting of Congress; $5,000
  • The Innovative Storytelling Award; $5,000
  • The Feddie Reporting Award for outstanding coverage of federal laws or regulations and their effect on local communities; $5,000
  • The Hinrich Foundation Award for Distinguished Reporting on Trade; $10,000
  • The Clifford K. & James T. Berryman Award for Editorial Cartoons; $2,500
  • The AARP Award for Excellence in Journalism on Aging; $5,000 (x2)

The winners will be honoured during NPF’s Annual Awards Dinner on February 20, 2025, at the Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C.
