Applications are now open for the Road Safety Reporting Competition and Awards by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) to help journalists produce stories that shine a light on road crash deaths and injuries in some of the hardest-hit countries.
The Road Safety Reporting Competition and Awards are implemented through ICFJ, supported by the FIA Foundation Richard Stanley Memorial Grant and the WHO through funding from Bloomberg Philanthropies, to raise awareness and spur dialogue around critical, yet under-reported, road safety issues.
Journalists have a crucial role to play in calling for policies and actions that save lives, holding leaders to account, and showcasing solutions to the complex challenge of ensuring safe mobility for everyone.
Prizes will be tools to support further journalism work. This will not be a cash prize but a prize awarded to journalists to support and contribute to the advancement of their work on road safety.
