The South Asia Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is seeking dedicated freelance journalists from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka to provide comprehensive coverage and reporting on events hosted by the regional office in South Asia.
Responsibilities
The freelance journalists would be responsible for:
- Attending online events hosted by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in South Asia and providing coverage.
- Conducting interviews with key stakeholders, participants, and experts.
- Producing engaging and informative written articles, video reports, or multimedia content.
- Ensuring accuracy, impartiality, and objectivity in reporting.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure timely and effective coverage of events.
- Adhering to editorial guidelines, style preferences, and general requirements of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
- Publishing the article in one of their local news outlets/media channels.
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in journalism, with a strong track record of covering events and producing high-quality written or multimedia content.
- Proficiency in English and/or the native language of the respective country.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with issues related to freedom, democracy, and human rights in South Asia.
- Willingness to adhere to journalistic ethics and standards.
