IMS is currently offering an internship opportunity within the Programme Development & Partner Advisory team at the Eastern Europe and Global Response Department.
In this role, you will work hands-on with our day-to-day tasks such as assisting programme/project planning as well as programme cycle management, contributing to context analysis and following the political development in Eastern Europe as well as support in designing projects and writing proposals.
The internship will offer a great variety of tasks and give you knowledge of the media development sector, but also broader knowledge of international aid and development work. The exact role will be shaped based on your interests and background.
Key functions and responsibilities
- Assisting in programme/project planning
- Provide context analysis policy input – e.g. through writing thematic briefs – to inform the programmes
- Assisting in progress monitoring/reporting of our projects
- Provide input to event management e.g. identifying and liaising with speakers, contributing to the development of programme/agenda and so on
- Participating in fundraising activities including proposal writing and funding research
Desirable skills/experience
- You are a student at a university, college or other comparable higher education institution and are in the final stage of your education (preferably at the master’s level) where an internship is included.
- You are interested in social and development issues and curious about how international NGOs work.
- You should be able to communicate in English
- IT skills
- Be independent and cooperative
- Be committed and curious
- International experience, i.e. from voluntary work is considered meritorious for the announced internship position.
Duration & Location
The internship is full-time. This is an unpaid position. Duty station: Copenhagen, Denmark.
Duration of internship is flexible to your academic needs but we imagine a one semester duration. Starting date: September 2024.
